We had a very informative week learning about dental hygiene and good brushing habits. Did you know children have 20 teeth and adults 32? Did you know that eating an apple after eating candy or sticky foods can help clean the teeth?
Next week we will be learning about the State of Texas. If you can, come by the classroom early (2:35) on Friday for a special Texas themed song!

Valentine's Party and Black History month Performance!
Just a reminder, our class Valentine's party is tomorrow at 2pm. Parents are welcome to come and help the kids pass out cards.
Also, I have been having some issues trying to get pictures off my phone and onto the blog, but in the mean time you may want to follow this link to a photo gallery on the Austin American Statesman site:

Students from Zilker Elementary look on as Big Chief Kevin Goodman, of the Flaming Arrows Indian Tribe of New Orleans, performs for Black History Month at the school on Tuesday. The PTA Arts in Education Committee sponsored the performance for more than 500 students learning about Mardi Gras.
Cool!
